A Hard Pill To Swallow: Critical Race Theory
Educators walk into schools everyday with the intention of helping students be successful. They also bring with them their own views, experiences, prejudices, and biases. Likewise, the educational system itself is not amenable to maximizing the potential of traditionally underserved students. Critical Race Theory is a hard pill to swallow in that it addresses racism that is prevalent throughout our schools in obvious and not so obvious ways. Educators are often unaware of these biases.
This module is designed to develop awareness in the minds of these dedicated educators, so their understanding of cultural dynamics will encourage them to analyze their educational practices through a culturally responsive lens. CPE Course
